My name is Jon Breen. I’m part of a group of people who are democratizing experience in industry. We don’t squelch creativity, withhold knowledge, or limit growth. In fact, our motivation is the exact opposite. We have experience, knowledge, and ideas that we KNOW can change people’s lives.
Since we’re fighting the common practice of keeping valuable knowledge and processes hidden, we have to find new ways to look at industry and the value we bring. We share ideas, create new tools and processes, and empower people to reach higher. We champion the values of learning smarter, simplifying processes, sharing experience, improving proactively, and breaking down barriers.
If you ask some controls engineers, the job can’t be taught; it can only be learned through years of experience. But we’re constantly proving that it’s not all magic and gut feel. The goals, theory, and practice of industrial controls can be codified, taught, and learned. With the right attitude and aptitude, a person can quickly learn to be a productive part of the industry. We’re here to make that possible.
