3-Way Switching in Structured Text

Hey Controls Champions!

Welcome back for another video. Today we’re talking about controlling a single thing (output, state, etc) from multiple places using a house wiring example: 3-Way Switches. We use these all the time to turn lights on/off from either end of a hall or room, and automation systems frequently have similar needs. For example, an operator may need to enable/disable brakes to perform manual adjustments, and that may need to happen from both sides of a machine.
